Five monsoon skincare habits that actually work

The rains are lovely and hard on skin. Warm, damp air makes skin oilier, clogs pores and can leave it feeling tight at the same time. These five habits keep ours calm.
1. Cleanse twice, gently
Wash in the evening with a soap-free gel cleanser. In the morning, a splash of water or a quick rosewater mist is enough. Over-washing makes oil production worse.
2. Switch to a lighter moisturiser
Swap rich creams for a gel-cream. Skin still needs moisture in humid weather, just less of it.
3. Keep it simple
- Cleanser, moisturiser, sunscreen: that is a complete routine.
- Add one active at a time and give it two weeks.
- Patch-test anything new behind the ear.
And do not skip sunscreen on cloudy days. UV does not take the monsoon off.
